Graphic Designer Invoicing: Logos, Guidelines, and Revisions

Design work is easy to under-price when revisions are left vague. Itemise the logo, the guidelines, and the revision hours separately, and state how many revision rounds are included before extra hours are charged.

1. Scope the deliverables, not just the hours

Name the files and formats the client receives — logo variations, colour palette, typography, and the guidelines document — instead of writing only "design work". Clear scope prevents the "just one more version" spiral.

2. Revisions and file handover

State the included revision rounds in your terms, and note that final source files are transferred when the final invoice is paid in full. That one sentence protects more designers than any other clause.

3. Payment terms

Use an explicit due date and a late-fee clause. Our payment terms guide explains Net 15, Net 30, and due-on-receipt in plain language.
